  “Well, you know me. I can be a glutton for punishment.”

  “I have other ways of punishing you I think you’ll like better.” A decidedly wicked expression settled on Tyler’s face. “It involves some toys I bought this afternoon when I arranged to have this night with you. Remember last time?”

  Most definitely; and if it was anything like last time, he might not survive. Lillie was at a play-date and Tyler had tied him to the bed, teasing him, denying him release for hours, no matter how he cursed and begged. When Tyler finally fucked him, Marcus swore he’d died and come back to life.

  Tyler stood and pulled him to his feet, holding him at arms-length to stare into his face. “But first, tell me what you want, what the ring means.”

  “It means you’re everything I never knew I wanted until I found you. And I’d like to marry you.” He skimmed his fingertips over the planes of Tyler’s face, tracing his smile, letting his hand come to rest on Tyler’s shoulders. “And I think we should adopt Lillie, legally make her our own.”

  “I’d love to marry you but I want you to feel ready.” Tyler held the little gold ring in the palm of his hand.

  “I’m always ready when I’m with you. Ever since I met you, I’ve been taking that first step.” Marcus took the ring and slid it onto Tyler’s pinky finger. “And now I’ve never been more certain of anything. We’ll wait until everyone comes home and make it a holiday to remember.”

  Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. She believes that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending just around the corner. She started reading traditional historical romances when she was a teenager, then life and law school got in the way. It wasn’t until she picked up a copy of Bertrice Small and became swept away to Queen Elizabeth’s court that her interest in romance novels became renewed.

  But somewhere along the way, her tastes shifted. While she still enjoys a juicy Historical romance, she began experimenting with newer, more cutting edge genres and discovered the world of Male/Male romance. And once she picked up her first, she became so enamored of the authors, the character-driven stories and the overwhelming emotion of the books, she knew she wanted to write her own.

  Felice lives in New York City with her husband and two children and hopefully soon a cat of her own. Her day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass or two of red wine. She practices law but daydreams of a time when she can sit by a beach somewhere and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there is bound to be angst along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.
